The short version

My AI Widget does not require an account, a name, or an email address to use. We don't run advertising, we don't use third-party analytics or tracking SDKs, and we never sell your data. The app registers an anonymous device identifier, stores the location and topics you choose so it can write your briefing, and sends the text of your chosen topics to web-search and AI providers to generate that briefing. That's the entire shape of it — the sections below give the specific, unabridged detail.

What we collect

Anonymous device identity. On first launch, the app registers an anonymous device ID and a bearer token with our server. No name, email, phone number, or Apple ID is collected or linked to this identifier.

Your name, if you enter one. During setup, you may optionally enter a name to personalize your greeting (e.g. "Good Morning, Enis."). This is stored only on your device, inside your device's local app storage — it is never sent to our servers and never leaves your phone.

Location. You provide a city (e.g. "Istanbul"). We convert this to coordinates and a time zone using a geocoding service so we know when to prepare your morning and evening briefings and can answer location-aware topics like weather or local news. We do not access or store your device's precise GPS location — only the city-level place you typed in.

Your topics and preferences. The interests you select, your custom topic (if you're on Pro), and your refresh schedule are stored on our servers, tied only to your anonymous device token.

Briefing content. The AI-generated summaries, headlines, and source lists we produce for you are stored so you can view your briefing history.

Subscription status. If you subscribe to Pro, we store your subscription tier and its expiration date, verified through Apple's StoreKit. We never see your payment details — Apple handles all billing directly.

Third parties we rely on

To research and write your briefing, the topics and location text you provide are sent to the following categories of service, only as needed to generate that day's content:

• Web search providers (such as Tavily or Brave Search) — receive your topic as a search query and return snippets of publicly available web content.
• AI language model providers (such as Anthropic or OpenAI) — receive those search snippets and your topic, and return a written summary. They do not receive your name, email, or any other identifying information.
• A geocoding service (Open-Meteo) — receives the city name you enter and returns coordinates and a time zone.
• Apple — processes App Store purchases and subscription verification through StoreKit.
• Our hosting and database providers (Render and Supabase) — store the data described above on our behalf, under their own security and compliance practices.

We do not use these providers' data for advertising, and we do not permit them to use your data to train their own models beyond their standard API terms of service.

How we use what we collect

• To generate and deliver your daily briefing, on your device and in your Home Screen widget.
• To schedule briefings at the correct local time for your morning and (on Pro) evening slots.
• To enforce free and Pro plan limits (number of topics, refresh frequency, custom topics).
• To operate, maintain, and improve the reliability of the service.

We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell or rent your data to any third party.

Retention & deletion

We retain your profile, preferences, and briefing history for as long as your device token remains active. You can request deletion of all data associated with your device at any time by contacting us (see below) — since we don't collect your name or email, please include your device token or a screenshot from the app's settings so we can locate your record. Uninstalling the app stops new briefings from being generated but does not, by itself, delete already-stored data; a deletion request removes it.

Subscriptions & payment

Pro subscriptions are billed and managed entirely through Apple's App Store. We only receive a signed confirmation of your subscription status (active/expired) from Apple — we never receive your card details, billing address, or Apple ID. Manage or cancel your subscription any time in your iPhone's Settings → your name → Subscriptions.

Children's privacy

My AI Widget is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

Your rights & choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your data, or to object to certain processing. Because our data is tied to an anonymous device token rather than an identity, we fulfill these requests based on the token or account details you provide us directly from the app. Contact us using the details below to exercise any of these rights.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above; continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
